Jeff joined BMO Capital Markets’ London office in 2011 to focus on the metals and mining sector in M&A, strategic advisory, equity and debt financing. Prior to joining BMO, Jeff was the head of Business Development for a diversified natural resources company and had 15 years of investment banking experience with bulge bracket banks. Jeff was called to the Ontario Bar after having graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.
Key transactions include the sale of Las Bambas to an MMG-led consortium for Glencore as well as the IPO of Ivanplats and subsequent secondary equity issuance. Jeff also led ENRC’s acquisitions of CAMEC and Bahia Mineração Ltda and its strategic investment in Northam Platinum. Other transactions include Rio Tinto’s defense of BHP Billiton, and the IPO’s of ENRC, EVRAZ and Kazakhmys.
