Christian brings experience building companies, developing projects, in capital markets as well as with government and stakeholder relations. For the last 15 years Christian has been a senior executive in the mining industry, most recently as CEO of Equinox Gold where he led the company’s growth from a single-asset developer through five mergers and acquisitions to a multi-asset producer.
Prior to Equinox, Christian was CEO of True Gold Mining, joining after a military coup in Burkina Faso and an attack on the project site. Under Christian’s leadership, the mine construction was restarted and completed as planned, and the company was subsequently sold to Endeavour Mining. Before entering the mining industry, Christian worked in investment banking with BNP Paribas in London.
