High Purity Quartz Pty (HPQ Materials) is an Australian private company with plans to become only the 4th producer and supplier of High Purity Quartz Sand (HPQS >99.99% purity) to the Solar PV and Semiconductor Industries. Solar PV cells and semiconductor wafers cannot be manufactured without HPQS. 

HPQ Materials owns a globally scarce and high purity quartz resource in Australia. Currently they are planning to commence build of first stage processing during Q4 2019 with production and first cashflow targeted by Q4 2020. 

Project life is estimated at 20+ years based on drilling and testing to date. The company has built a pilot plant in Melbourne in Australia and is continuing test work to target impurities down from 50 parts per million (ppm) to 30ppm to meet requirements for solar PV cell manufacturing process. The ultimate target is to produce quartz sand at 10ppm to satisfy requirements for Semiconductor Wafer manufacturing.
