Draslovka is a global leader in cyanide-based chemical specialties and agricultural chemicals. Utilizing the company’s significant expertise, Draslovka develops and scales solutions which are vital for delivering sustainable growth at pace. A private holding company based in the Czech Republic, it is owned by four Czech families and has more than 100 years of experience in hydrogen cyanide (HCN) production and HCN chemistry. The company specializes in the production of fully synthetic and highly purified liquid HCN, which undergoes further processing for application in a variety of downstream products ranging from the mining through to agriculture sectors. Draslovka Mining Solutions

The ambition of Draslovka’s Mining Solutions business is to provide safer and more environmentally sustainable processes to fill gaps in the global supply of precious and base metals to unlock new opportunities.

In February 2022, Draslovka acquired Mining & Process Solutions (MPS), based in Australia, which owns the exclusive rights to Glycine Leaching Technology – through its products GlyLeach and GlyCat, this glycine leaching method offers a new, environmentally sustainable, hydrometallurgical process to leach base and precious metal oxide, mixed oxide and sulphide ores. 

This exciting technology has the potential to transform the leaching process and will be key for addressing the challenges the mining industry faces to source precious and critical metals. 

The purchase of MPS followed two major acquisitions in 2021: the $520m acquisition of Chemours’ mining solutions business, and a R1,46 billion ($95m) agreement to acquire Sasol’s sodium cyanide business, which cemented Draslovka’s position as a major global player in the industry.
