Omai Gold Mines Corp. (“OMG”) is a Canadian exploration company focused on aggressively exploring the past producing Omai gold property in Guyana. OMG holds a 100% interest in the Omai Prospecting License that includes the past producing Omai Gold Mine, and a 100% interest in the adjoining Eastern Flats Mining Permits. The Omai Gold Mine produced almost 3.8 million ounces of gold, averaging over 300,000 ounces per year, while gold averaged less than $400/oz.

In January 2022, the Company announced a 1.6 million ounce Mineral Resource Estimate grading 1.42 g/t gold on the Wenot gold deposit consisting of:
- 16.7 million tonnes of Indicated Mineral Resources averaging 1.31 grams of gold per tonne for 703,300 gold ounces, and
- 19.5 million tonnes of Inferred Mineral Resources averaging 1.50 grams of gold per tonne for 940,000 gold ounces on the Wenot Deposit.
The broad shear structure hosting this deposit is known to extend at least a kilometre both to the west and east. 2022 exploration drilling is concentrated on expanding the resources along strike of this new deposit, as well as pursuing several near-mine exploration targets known since the 1990s but never followed-up. An additional, large well-drilled historic resource, located below a second past producing pit, requires some additional holes to bring into NI 43-101 compliance.
OMG is targeting a 4-to-5-million-ounce resource, with the first step being our new Wenot resource announced January 4th, combined with the historic resource and potential discoveries at the near-mine exploration targets. Omai Gold has a strong technical team and two drills on site focused on further building the gold resources.
