Project Stage: Exploration
Granada Gold Mine Inc. is a Canadian junior mining company that is exploring and developing the Granada Gold Deposit in Canada’s richest gold-producing area, the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, along the Cadillac Break located between Val d’Dor and Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. The Company has defined an open-pit potentially with 1.2 million oz gold resources and currently has two drills working on the property in order to expand/upgrade this open-pit resource and add underground resources. The Company already has conducted several engineering studies of the property including a PEA and PFS and has arranged the necessary Quebec Government permits to ship 550 tonnes per day (approx. 200,000 tonnes per year) open-pit mined material averaging 4.25 g/t to local mills for contract milling, although no milling contract has been secured yet. The studies have also shown the potential for the property to have its own mill producing 80,000 to 100,000 and the Company is reviewing the changes necessary to its permits to be able to construct a mill on the property. The Granada deposit is located 15 minutes from Rouyn-Noranda in a region that offers excellent infrastructure and a good supply of skilled labour.
