The Government of India is the national administrative authority of the Republic of India, a federal democracy located in South Asia, consisting of 28 union states and eight union territories. Government operates its various functions under various ministries. Ministry of Mines, Ministry of Coal, & Ministry of Steel are three important ministries deals with mining, mineral & metals and are representing India during IMARC 2022. 

Ministry of Mines:

Ministry of Mines is responsible for survey and exploration of all minerals, other than natural gases, petroleum and atomic minerals, for mining and metallurgy of non-ferrous metals like aluminium, copper, zinc, lead, gold, nickel, etc. and for administration of the Mines and Minerals (Regulation and Development) Act, 1957 in respect of all mines and minerals other than coal, natural gas and petroleum. Hindustan Copper Limited, National Aluminium Corporation, Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited and Geological Survey of India and Indian Bureau of Mines are the Public Sector Undertakings & attached offices under Ministry of Mines who are involved in the exploration, mining and development of minerals. Ministry of mines along with Hindustan Copper Limited, National Aluminium Corporation, Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited and Geological Survey of India and Indian bureau of Mines is representing Indian Mines & Mineral sector in IMARC 2022. Ministry of Steel:

Ministry of Steel is responsible for Co-ordination and planning of the growth and development of Iron and Steel Industry in the country (including Re-rolling Mills, Alloy Steel and Ferro Alloy Industries, Refractories) both in the Public and Private Sectors. It’s function also includes Formulation of policies in respect of production, pricing, distribution, import and export of iron & steel, ferro alloys and refractories; and Development of input industries relating to iron ore, manganese ore, chrome ore and Refractories etc., required mainly by the steel industry. Ministry of Steel along with NMDC Limited & Steel Authority of India are representing India and Iron & Steel sector in IMARC-2022. (

Ministry of Coal: 

The Ministry of Coal has the overall responsibility of determining policies and strategies in respect of exploration and development of coal and lignite reserves, sanctioning of important projects of high value and for deciding all related issues. Under the administrative control of the Ministry, these key functions are exercised through the Public Sector Undertakings, namely, Coal India Ltd. and its subsidiaries and Neyveli Lignite corporation India Limited (NLCIL).  Ministry of Coal along with Coal India Limited is participating in the IMRAC 2022 and representing Indian Coal Sector. (

Odisha is one of the rich mineral states of India. Odisha Mining Corporation, State Government Public Sector Enterprise and one of the big iron ore producers in India, is representing ODISHA Mineral Sector at IMARC-2022. (

Government of Karnataka:

Karnataka is also one of the rich mineral states of India. Karnataka State Minerals Corporation Limited and The Hutti Gold Mines Company Limited, Government of Karnataka Undertakings, are representing Karnataka Mineral Sector at IMARC-2022. ( &
