He has previously worked in policy and regulatory roles for the UK and New Zealand governments, for global NGOs, the World Bank and for a number of mining companies. He specialises in social risk, multi-stakeholder negotiations, global governance, and geopolitics. He has worked across the Asia-Pacific, West Africa, and Central Asia. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Politics from the University of Otago (NZ), and a Master’s degree in International Security from University of St Andrews (Scotland).
