Dr. Mark Breitfuss brings more than 30 years of experience in environmental consulting and research within the mining and natural resources sector. His expertise includes environmental impact assessment, social and community engagement, water policy, mine remediation and closure planning, infrastructure and energy planning and expert witness support.  

Mark is a qualified ecologist and Impact Assessment specialist, working closely with all levels of government and industry to ensure the successful implementation of development approvals, State and Commonwealth Environmental Impact Statements, EPBC Act approvals, business cases, community and stakeholder consultation strategies and governance frameworks across Australia. Mark has a proven track record in government liaison, negotiation, strategy development and implementation, strategic project approvals processes and executive engagement – building a solid professional reputation in the environmental consulting market and across multiple sectors. He holds a Ph.D in Environmental Science from Griffith University.
