Michael Ngalaba is an experienced Audit Executive Manager and Mining Sector Specialist with extensive experience across the mining and energy sectors in East and Southern Africa. Based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, he has held senior leadership roles in mining operations and led assurance, governance, risk and compliance engagements for major and multinational organisations, including Shell Exploration and Production Tanzania and Lindi Jumbo under Walkabout Resources, an Australian company.

Michael has advised on capital raisings, domestic and cross-border governance, regulatory compliance, and corporate risk management. His experience combines technical audit expertise with a strong understanding of the commercial, operational, and financial challenges facing mining businesses.

In his most recent role as Internal Audit Manager at JEMA Group of Companies, Michael has played a key role in strengthening operational and financial controls, enhancing governance frameworks, supporting financial advisory initiatives, and contributing to capital restructuring and business improvement programmes.

Prior to joining JEMA, Michael spent more than 15 years with Ernst & Young (EY), developing extensive expertise in financial reviews, risk assessment, internal controls, and compliance audits, particularly within mining and other capital-intensive operations.
