Ed Toms is the Senior Vice President for Global Dams and Mining Market Sector Leader for AECOM. He actively supports global communities with mitigation of emergent disasters through building a sustainable future. Ed has more than 38 years of progressive leadership experience, with the past 20 years clearly focused on successful leadership of global markets, offices, and technical departments. Ed is presently supporting the Brazil Fundao and Brumadinho dam failures as the Technical Director of the Auditing Program.
Ed leads the business development function for the Dams and Mining Market Sectors under the Global Water Business Line for AECOM. He is responsible for the business management, development, and execution for the vision, objectives, metrics, and plans for the global markets. Working closely with regional leadership across the organization, he monitors markets, strategizes with business leaders on emerging market issues, and develops and drives business strategies to obtain top-line and bottom-line growth. Ed also works with business development personnel across all of AECOM’s regions, as well as teaming partners and subcontractors. The result is robust opportunity pipeline growth and a well-coordinated business development process that includes the elimination of barriers and enhanced cooperation for achievement of business objectives, leveraging of capabilities, and avoidance of organizational disconnects and disharmony.
