Jose Mario Castelo Branco, EuroGeol, holds a Bsc in Geology from Porto University in Portugal and has the title of Eurogeologist granted by the European Federation of Geologists. He has over 31 years of industry experience, including 15 years in technical roles with BP Minerals/Rio Tinto, 9 years with Rio Narcea Gold Mines and 8 years with Lundin Mining.
He was na invited lecturer in the Geology department in the University of Braga, Portugal
He has extensive international experience in mineral exploration and development of base metal and precious metal projects along with critical metals. He has played a key role on the discovery of a number of deposits that are now operating mines or near production stage. He is one of the two managing partners of GGC since 2014 and is presently also Vice President Exploration of Goldplay Mining
