Gateway Mining (ASX: GML) is a well-credentialed Australian gold company undertaking a super-charged exploration program across its camp-scale 1000km2 Montague Gold Project, located 800km north-east of Perth in the North Murchison region of WA.

The Montague Project is located central to several operating gold mines, and is well serviced by existing infrastructure.

Gateway recently delivered an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for Montague totalling 10.073Mt @ 1.6g/t Au for 526,000oz of contained gold in September 2022, representing an 17% increase in contained gold compared with the previous Resource estimate announced in December 2021. The Resource includes a high-grade Indicated component of 142,000oz grading 2.1g/t Au.

The updated Montague Resource is located predominantly within 100m from surface, representing high-quality, shallow ounces with a significant oxide component. A significant portion of the new ounces came from recent discoveries at the Julias (77,000oz), Achilles North/Airport (99,000oz) and Evermore (67,000oz) deposits, all three of which were uncovered by Gateway in completely new areas.
