Resourcing Tomorrow Renews Strategic Partnership with CSR Europe / Drive Sustainability to Accelerate Global Collaboration Across the Mining and downstream Sectors

By reinforcing their commitment to circularity, resilience, and sustainability, the partnership aims to drive meaningful change across both the mining and downstream sectors. Together, they are working to promote responsible sourcing, enhance transparency, and foster innovation that supports a more sustainable future for all stakeholders involved.

“We see an urgent need to bridge industrial resilience with responsible supply chains. Through this partnership, we hope to empower more downstream players to engage meaningfully with the raw materials sector—particularly as sustainability shifts from compliance to competitiveness.” — Stefan Crets, Managing Director, CSR Europe

Drive Sustainability is leading the transformation towards a more sustainable automotive value chain, advocating for harmonised approaches, transparency, and long-term impact. By collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders across industries, Drive Sustainability brings a unified voice to sustainability efforts. Especially the mining sector, providing essential raw materials is seen as a key partner in these efforts. As one of the largest consumers of mined materials, the automotive industry plays a vital role in advancing responsible sourcing, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility.

“Collaboration across the mining ecosystem has never been more vital,” said Nick Rastall, Portfolio Director of Resourcing Tomorrow. “We must break out of silos, take responsibility, and act collectively. The choices the mining industry makes today will determine the world we live in tomorrow.”

Resourcing Tomorrow, taking place in London from 2-4 December 2025, is the world’s leading platform for mining and energy leaders. It serves as a dynamic meeting ground where senior decision-makers exchange bold insights, challenge conventional thinking, and accelerate progress across the value chain. This year’s agenda will feature focused discussions on:

  • Building trust through engagement with local communities
  • Advancing global standards,
  • Strengthening battery metal value chains through cross-sector collaboration

Last year’s event welcomed global automotive leaders, including Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan, Ferrari, Honda, Volvo Cars, Extreme-H, and Forze Hydrogen Racing, with participation expected to increase significantly in 2025 as momentum builds for integrated, responsible supply chains.

In recognition of the growing role of downstream industries in securing sustainable mineral supply, Resourcing Tomorrow has also launched the Downstream Buyer Pass—a dedicated initiative for professionals at Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and other critical downstream sectors like chemicals, energy, aerospace and defence. This new offering is designed to foster meaningful connections between those sourcing essential materials and the mining companies working to supply them responsibly.

This renewed partnership with CSR Europe and Drive Sustainability highlights the urgent need for cross-sector collaboration. By aligning efforts to create harmonised standards, promote transparency, and engage suppliers across the full value chain, both organisations are helping to shape a more sustainable and accountable future for mining, mobility, and beyond.

The future is in our hands. At Resourcing Tomorrow, that future is built together.
