Aurora’s vision is to produce two minerals critical to the USA’s clean energy transition. The Company is ASX-listed (ASX:1AE, www.auroraenergymetals.com) and is focused on developing its unique flagship, the 100 per cent owned Aurora Energy Metals Project in South-East Oregon, USA. The Project boasts a well-defined uranium Mineral Resource with lithium mineralisation hosted in lakebed sediments discretely overlying and surrounding the uranium deposit.
After raising an oversubscribed A$8 million in its IPO, Aurora listed in May 2022 and has demonstrated its ability to move quickly. It conducted successful lithium assays of historical core, actively engaged with a multitude of project stakeholders and recently completed a drilling campaign targeting potential extensions to the uranium mineralisation as well as better defining lithium mineralisation.
The Company recently announced a 34% increase in its total Uranium Resource, to 50.6Mlb U3O8, making the Aurora Uranium deposit the largest, mineable, Measured & Indicated Uranium Resource in the USA. The Company also acquired an ideal site for a potential plant and tailings facility in neighbouring Nevada. The site is less than 10 miles from the Project with excellent infrastructure, such as direct access to hydro-generated grid electricity.
Aurora is awaiting uranium and lithium assay results from its recent drill program whilst progressing the permitting of its 2023 drilling campaign.
