Big River Gold Limited (ASX:BRV) is a specialised minerals exploration and development company focused on advancing its wholly owned Borborema Gold Project in north eastern Brazil. The Project is fully permitted and construction can commence immediately upon securing project funding following successful completion of a Definitive Feasibility Study in 2019.

With over 14 years in-country experience, Big River Gold has forged a reputation in the Brazilian mining community as a company which understands the local environment and can successfully develop projects.

Big River Gold Ltd plans to develop an initial 2.0 Mtpa Stage 1 operation at the Borborema Gold Project. This will mine less than half of the current Borborema Project which has a 2.43Moz JORC Code Compliant Mineral Resource and a 42.4Mt Ore Reserve containing 1.61Moz gold at 1.18 g/t.

A Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) was completed in December 2019 and updated in July 2020, which confirmed the Project’s economic viability and robustness. The capital cost of construction totals US$91M and returns an NPV8% of US$342M

These studies demonstrate the low risk and low cost nature of the planned Stage 1 which aims to produce 730,000ounces of gold at an AISC of US$713/oz which will place it in the lowest cost quartile of producing mines.
