Craig Miller

Craig Miller is the CEO and executive director of Valterra Platinum. A seasoned senior executive with more than 25 years of mining industry experience, his work has spanned PGMs and bulk commodities across South Africa, Brazil and the UK. 

His previous roles include several senior leadership positions within the Anglo American Group, including Group financial controller, and chief financial officer of the Group’s Brazilian iron ore and South African coal businesses. Craig joined the executive committee and board of Valterra Platinum as finance director in March 2019, leading strategy development and execution, and driving successful cost and value optimisation initiatives across the business before taking over as CEO in October 2023. As CEO, he led the business through a successful demerger from the Anglo American Group in 2025, establishing Valterra Platinum as a thriving standalone PGM producer.

Craig holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours) degree from the University of South Africa and is a registered CA(SA). He has completed the General Management Programme at Harvard University and an Advanced Management Programme at the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
