Rubhen is the Critical Minerals Investment Specialist at the Critical Minerals Coordination Office (CMCO) within Resources Victoria, where he focuses on attracting investment into midstream and downstream opportunities in the critical minerals sector.
Rubhen began his career in financial derivatives at the ASX before spending more than 15 years working across commodity markets, economics and mining. He served as the Commonwealth’s economist for coal, iron ore and steel, then moved into trading operations in Indonesia before leading marketing and logistics for a listed copper and gold miner.
More recently, he has held senior economist and advisory roles in consulting, working on resources, offshore wind and major infrastructure projects.
He brings this combination of commercial and economic experience to his current role, helping advance Victoria’s critical minerals investment opportunities.
